Huntington Farm is a Private Full-Service Hunter/Jumper stable and Hanoverian breeder located 30 minutes from downtown Austin, Texas. We believe it is very important as a breeder to have specific breeding goals. Therefore, our goals are to produce quality jumping and dressage prospects. Our mares are Main Studbook mares and each possess quite different qualities. In order to accomplish these goals, we take a hard look at the strengths of our mares as well as those areas we would like to see improved and then spend many hours pouring over the breeding indexes and other information available on the stallions approved for breeding. The real trick is finding a match to reach our breeding goals.
We focus on horses with a strong G-line influence. The G-line is a bloodline particularly known for their versatility and is reknowned as the most famous and important producer of international performance horses in both jumping and dressage. Goldfisch II, is the focus of this line of horses, primarily through his descendents Grande and Gotthard. Our goal is to maintain the versatility that the G-line horses are known for while producing a horse with a more modern build.
Our foals are imprinted at birth and handled daily. Each riding horse on the farm is a proven performance horse showing in the hunter ring. It is our priority to place our horses into a healthy environment with riders and trainers who will help each individual to reach their maximum performance potential.
We stand our Hanoverian stallion Gadget (Gesandt / Gaspano /Aristides ) who produces lovely show ring hunters out of Thoroughbred and warmblood mares. Gadget's offspring are proving his prepotency in passing on lovely heads and necks, correct overall conformation, excellent movement and jumping ability and very good minds, making them ideal partners for the amateur or professional rider.
